H. Gary Cook
(Special Population Researcher) - Professor, University of Wisconsin
H. Gary Cook is a research scientist attached to the Wisconsin Center
for Education Research. Dr. Cook received his Ph.D. in Educational
Measurement, Evaluation and Research Design from Michigan State
University and has a Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language
from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Dr. Cook has worked as a state
test director, vice president for a national assessment company, and an
urban district researcher. His recent research interests have focused on
alignment of standards and assessments, NCLB policy issues, and applying
growth modeling techniques to address key educational questions for
ELLs.
